February Finishing Goal

I can't believe it is the 7th already this week flew by with out much sewing going on.  I need to finish up my Riley Blake Challenge in the next week so I have to get a move on.

Here it is on the design wall.  I did get it basted and have started the quilting.  I have quilted inside all the of the fly geese units and now just need to do the background.  When I am not sure what to do, I procrastinate.  Have not worked on it in several days.  The design inside is from the Dot to Dot Craftsy Class.  It was a lot of stopping and starting but I love how they look.

I think I will sit down and just start and see what happens. I have had enough time to think and now need to do it.

So the goal is finished up with binding down.  I think I will hand stitch this one down too.

Last month I was one of the winners too!  I won 3 patterns from Green Fairy Quilts!  That is pretty cool!

I am linking up to February Goals for a Lovely Year of Finishes at Sew Bittersweet Designs.  Also going to link up at NTT and Let's Be Sew Social.

I will have to update my WIP list after the weekend since I am hoping to get lots done!  My time this week has been spent planning our summer vacation!  Can't complain about that at all!  We are planning to go to the Smoky Mountains and rent a cabin.  There are a lot of cabins to check out so hopefully I will finish that up this week and not be all over the internet every night checking them out.

Have a great week!

  1. Wow! Great looking block, Beth. Best of luck finishing and meeting your deadline.

  2. Renting a cabin for a holiday does sound like a wonderful vacation. Hope you can manage to get your quilting done while you're dreaming of that time away in the summer! Your block looks great and the quilting is gorgeous!

  3. Is it going to be a pillow or a wall hanging? Looks great!

  4. This is a really beautiful block and it looks great in the challenge fabrics!

  10. I love the texture your quilting has added so far. I am sure whatever you decide to do in the background will be amazing as well. I am glad to know I am not the only one who procrastinates when unsure what to do next.
