6. 3 August Moda Blocks

8.  Fussy Cut Square - Flickr Swap

I have had some good sewing progress the best one is the fact that I did finish the Wedding Quilt.  Here is a quick peek.  I am planning on taking some better photos and it deserves a post of its own.  The quilting was fun but took way longer than I thought.  Overall I am really happy with it.

I did get 4 blocks done on my Moda Friendship Blocks.  I still have 2 applique ones and now the 3 for September.  At least I am not 9 blocks behind.  I may need to redo the top left - the fabric I used mushes a little too much.

I was only able to do one more Tula block so I still have 4 more to finish section two.  I have realized I am not going to make the goal of all the blocks done by September 20th.  That was to receive a t-shirt from the LQS.  I am still going to try to get this done.

I also need to commit to the MMQG challenge quilt. I have my one color and have bought the fabric and I just can't pick the pattern or idea.  I need to start that in the next week or so!  Hopefully I will pull some fabric and the rest will just speak to me and I will know what to make.

Hope everyone is getting lots done as summer is winding down.  I love fall but summers in Wisconsin are too short so I am sad to see it ending.

Check out what is happening on others sewing progress.  I am linking up at WIP at Freshly Pieced, 627 Handworks for Thursday Threads, and Needle and Thread Thursday.

  1. Spring is around the corner, and I cant wait! Your fabric choices are beautiful. I especially like the one right bottom, nice!

  2. Great job on the paisley quilting! I did read down to the post where you were finished quilting the heart, but looking for ideas of how to quilt the background. Wow, that is a large space needing filled. Good for you tackling the FMQ of such a large area! It does take a long time, but it is worth it.... You have done a fantastic job!

  3. Beautiful quilting and lovely blocks. Thanks for sharing. Stopping by from NTT Marie (

  4. your quilting is really beautiful. Can't wait to see the full post on that one. And your blocks are great! My favorite is the one with the pink polkadots!

Thanks for sharing at Needle and Thread Thursday!
